Hope Lutheran School challenges students to grow in a nurturing, safe, and loving atmosphere. Our Christian school offers excellent K-8 and Preschool programs focused on educating students to excel beyond state standards so they are prepared for any future schools they encounter.  We also strive to allow children to ask questions, explore, discuss, and expand their curiosity.  Our small class sizes ensure that their needs are met, their voices are heard, and their hearts are protected as best as possible in this ever-changing society. At the same time, Hope is dedicated to raising children to be leaders of faith and followers of God's Word.  Our main focus is to be a place where teachers, children and parents are personifications of God's love, kindness, and forgiveness.  Our motto is "Hope and love go hand in hand," and our role model and source for all of this is Our Lord, Jesus Christ.

The student/teacher ratio is approximately 14:1.

Hope Lutheran's activities for students in 5th - 8th graders include athletics, drama, student council, service projects, and a music program. We also have skills development classes on Tuesdays & Thursdays that will include typing, Spanish (Rosetta Stone), Yearbook Design, Small Group Choir, and various arts.  Our sports include co-ed cross country, football, boys/girls volleyball, girls/boys basketball, and co-ed soccer.  

Students in grades K-4 participate in musical productions, art classes, chapel presentations, choir, plays, and various STEM activities.

Hope also has a School Age Care program intended to meet the childcare needs of families and students outside the traditional school schedule.  Any child enrolled in Hope Lutheran School may use the School Age Care (SAC) program for additional fees. 

 Yes, Hope Lutheran is currently and continually accredited by WASC, the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.  We also received National Lutheran School Accreditation (NLSA) from the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.

Hope Lutheran School is an important component of the ministry of Hope Lutheran Church. The church plays a critical role in supporting school families. Hope Lutheran Church enhances this partnership through Bible classes for all ages, youth ministries, care ministries, music, and men's and women's ministries.

At Hope Lutheran School we are able to offer not only offer an academically challenging curriculum, but a Christ-centered environment where students grow in their faith as well as, intellectually, physically, emotionally,  and socially. The love and forgiveness of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ is evident each and every day at Hope.

We pray that Hope Lutheran School's parents will train their children in the way of the Lord. By nurturing the development of their child's faith by encouraging their child through instruction and by example to live a life of faith, prayer, worship, and service to Christ, they would pray for families, church, and school. They should take an active interest and involvement in the education of their child.

The Hope Lutheran School faculty and staff are committed to working with families in helping to nurture the development of the whole child.  It is the purpose of the school to be an extension of the home in Christian training. We wish to work with families who are willing to walk with us in the oneness of spirit and purpose. This unity is based on a common value system, support for one another, and cooperation.  The strong partnership between the school and the home is an essential element in educating the whole child.

 No. As a mission of Hope Lutheran Church, we welcome students of all denominations.  The school population currently consists of approximately one-third of Lutheran church members. Two-thirds of students belong to other denominations or are not affiliated with any church at all.

Religion is an integral part of Hope Lutheran School day and is the first subject taught daily. Lessons in the classrooms are taught with the LCMS curriculum. The instruction consists of units connected by a common theme that is grounded in God's Word. Bible stories provide an overview of God's story of love and salvation for His people as found in the Old and New Testaments and continuing on to touch our lives today. Students are taught key concepts of faith such as Law and the Gospel, confessions and repentance, forgiveness, and grace. Through a planned memory program, students learn Scripture verses, hymns, and portions of the Catechism which highlight the theme of each lesson.
