Preparing Students to Excel in High School

At Hope Lutheran Church and School, we believe that education should be grounded in faith and values. Our teachers are dedicated to providing the best opportunities for all of our students to learn, grow, and thrive not only in academics, but also in their faith.

We believe that learning in a Christ-centered environment is the best place for students to thrive, learn to think critically, communicate effectivly and grow as independent lifelong learners as they grow surrounded by love, safety, and support from their teachers. Middle Schoolers and all other age groups are treated as "Precious Children of God" and are encouraged to explore their individual talents and abilities.

Prepping for High School

At Hope Lutheran School, we offer a unique and enriching learning experience that combines rigorous academics with a strong Lutheran foundation. Students will strengthen their sense of self and be able to function effectively in a world that challenges their core beliefs and values.

Exploring God-Given Talents and Life Skills

All of our students are created with God-given talents. Our Middle School students can explore these talents through our offerings of electives, including cooking, sewing,  art, knitting, yearbook, and many more.

Our Middle School Curriculum

Hope Lutheran Goes Beyond Standard Curriculum

Our curriculum is decisively planned by teachers to help our students develop their love of learning with academic rigor and flexibility based on student needs.

Above all, anything taught at Hope Lutheran School will be consistent with Biblical truth and the doctrine of the LCMS. As a private Christ-centered school, Hope has a challenging, engaging, and relevant curriculum informed by best practices and innovations from both public and private schools.

We use God’s Word, emerging research, established best practices, and our expertise, among other things, to guide the development of our curriculum. It is at the curriculum level that discussions are made about learning materials (textbooks and novels) and learning activities (projects and assignments). The curriculum is taught by teachers who love Jesus and who are on the frontline in helping students develop their relationship with their Savior.

Religious Studies

Faith is an essential part of every day at Hope Lutheran. Through daily devotions, religion classes, weekly chapel, and classroom learning, students are immersed in God’s Word and encouraged to grow in their relationship with Jesus.

Students learn about God’s grace and love while discovering how their faith shapes the way they learn, serve, and treat others. We encourage each child to recognize their God-given gifts, use them with purpose, and grow into a confident, compassionate follower of Christ.

Technology

Students in Middle School are given their own email account as well as the resources available in the Google Education Suite. Each classroom has a dedicated mobile computer lab, giving students access to technology.

Outdoor Education

Middle School students learn about God's creation at a week long outdoor education camp.
